Digital Imaging

Do you have underwater photographs which are almost good enough, but are spoiled by backscatter, strays, light level, poor contrast, colour balance etc?

To a certain extent, all these problems can be corrected digitally. It is possible to make an “almost” photograph into a “usable” image. It is also possible to get creative with an image and introduce style and elements that did not exist in the original photograph.

Digital imaging tools can be used to:

• Make a high resolution scan of your slide, colour negative or print.
• Edit the scanned image to correct and improve it.
• Overlay text or graphics on the image.
• Return the image to you in digital form on CDROM.
• Put the modified image back onto a colour slide.
